The Regional Launch of the Caribbean Investment Facility was held  on March 21-22 in Barbados and included the inauguration of the EU funded EPA Standby Facility –USD 4.55m and CSME Standby Facility – USD 4.48m. These facilities are Administered by the CDB & managed by a Steering Committee comprising Representatives of the European Commission & CARICOM Secretariat and will last for the duration of 3 years (Dec 2012 to Dec 2015). The European Commission held the Regional Launch of the Caribbean Investment Facility (CIF) on March 21-22 at the Accra Beach Hotel in Barbados. This innovative mechanism of aims at mixing EDF grants with loans for the Development Finance Institutions to assist the financing of key infrastructure areas such as transport, water and sanitation, energy, disaster prevention and ITC.

Caribbean Export hosted a two-day Exporters’ Colloquium,where industry leaders  discussed key issues relating to exporting from the Caribbean to the international market. The event took place March 20-21, 2013 at  The Hilton Resort, Barbados

The Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Secretariat- in cooperation with CARIBBEAN Export and GIZ-  convened a two day regional media workshop.  The Workshop was also attended by Grenada's Minister of Finance, Planning, Economy, Energy, and Cooperatives Nizam Burke.
